A 46-year-old woman was found dead on the evening of Wednesday January 18 at her home in Malakoff in the Hauts-de-Seine, probably killed by a dozen stab wounds, according to initial findings, AFP learned on Thursday 19 January from a source familiar with the matter.
His roommate taken into custody
According to this source, the victim was found in a pool of blood by his roommate, in his fifties, when he returned to their apartment around 8:30 p.m.

Without being suspected of being the perpetrator of the crime, the roommate was taken into custody to give his testimony.
An investigation was opened in flagrante and entrusted to the Hauts-de-Seine judicial police, said the Nanterre prosecutor's office, requested by AFP.
