Police forces and the Civil Administration confiscated a "Bagger" type tractor tonight (Thursday) that was operating in the area of the Bat Ein B outpost in Gush Etzion. Residents of the outpost criticized the enforcement policy demonstrated towards the settlement, especially after the establishment of the new government.

"The Civil Administration continues to fight us With all our strength," they responded at the outpost named after Ahovia Sendak who was killed during a police chase about two years ago. "At a good and successful time tonight we started to open a new security road in the hill which is also used as a fire path in the event of a fire.

The Civil Administration did not like the idea that Jews would defend their lives and the territory of the Bat Ein settlement.

We condemn the delusional kidnapping that the Civil Administration carried out tonight, and demand explanations from Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Minister Bezalel Smotritz"

In the documentation of the bagger confiscation, one of the residents is heard saying that "Here are Ben Gvir's police officers confiscating the bagger. Your destroyers and your destroyers are gone."

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has already announced in the past his intention to subordinate the Mageb under his authority instead of Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, and is even working these days to turn the Mageb into a separate body parallel to the police. The move is opposed by the IDF and Central Command who fear chaos in the Judea region and Samaria.

"Separate the MGB from the police and turn it into an independent service similar to the Shavas", so it is written in the clauses of the coalition agreement between the Likud and Otzma Yehudit and which concern the police and the regulation of the "Israeli National Guard".

The agreement between the parties differs from the initial demand of the designated minister Itamar Ben Gabir, according to which only the Yosh Police Force should be cut off in order to strengthen enforcement in the Negev.

The meaning of the decision is a significant change in the existing order according to which the Border Guard and all its units will be separated from the police and the IDF and subordinated to the minister in charge.

This is a government decision that will be accepted within 90 days of its establishment as part of the Israeli National Guard system established by the previous government, in order to improve the management of the system and allow the designated minister to determine the guard's policy and the management of the forces during an emergency.

Until now, the Border Guard was directly subordinate to the Israel Police and was an inseparable part of the organization, the IOSH Border Guard, on the other hand, whose main activity dealt with checkpoints, disturbances and policing in the Judea and Samaria region was managed by the commander of the Central Command of the IDF, at the request of the designated minister Ben Gabir To receive the powers over the IOSh MP met with strong opposition from the IDF and Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, who expressed his opposition to the move in a conversation over the weekend with Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu.

Removing the MGB from the police, regulating it as a separate enforcement arm and subordinating the MGB commander to the minister's policy will allow Ben Gabir to determine the priorities of the MGB and, if necessary, to mobilize forces in various areas throughout the State of Israel. The Israeli National Guard, which was established last year under the management of the MGB, recruited Since its inception until today, approximately 200 fighters and 50 command standards have been manned within the framework of the goals agreed upon between the outgoing Minister of Defense Omar Bar Lev and Commissioner Kobi Shabtai.

According to the existing law, the Minister of Internal Security had the ability to set policy for the Shevast Police Commissioners and rescue fire brigades, with regard to setting policy for the Commissioner of Police, the Minister's powers are limited.

The decision to subordinate the commissioner to the minister's policy was postponed for the time being and was excluded from the legislation in the Knesset that was approved this morning in the Knesset in a third reading, within the framework of which it was approved to allow the designated minister Ben Gabir to outline police policy and to set priorities, work plans and control over the police budget as well.
