Nine European countries, including Britain and Poland, have pledged to provide unprecedented military support to the Ukrainian regime, including tanks, heavy artillery and air defences.
Reuters news agency quoted the defense ministers of Britain, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and representatives from Denmark, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Slovakia as saying in a joint statement posted on the British government website after their meeting in Estonia: “We are committed to collectively seeking to provide an unprecedented package of donations, including tanks, heavy artillery and defense systems.” Aircraft, ammunition and infantry fighting vehicles for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace announced that his country intends to send 600 Brimstone missiles to Ukraine, while Denmark's Defense Minister Jacob Elleman Jensen announced that his country will give the Ukrainian army 19 long-range French-made Caesar artillery.
In response to the European hostile steps, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "The new arms supplies from countries such as Britain and Poland will not change the situation on the ground, and will only lead to more problems for Ukraine."
