French banking groups took the opportunity to sign results never seen in their history.

This is the case of BNP Paribas and Crédit Agricole, which had earned respectively 9.5 and 9.1 billion euros in net profit.

Societe Generale followed (5.6 billion euros), the Crédit Mutuel group (4.3 billion) and BPCE (4 billion).

With 371 salaries over one million euros, France logically comes second behind Germany (589) and ahead of Italy (351), among the 27 countries studied.
