The low temperatures hinted at it.
Snow began to fall near Paris on Thursday afternoon.
In particular in the south of Île-de-France, a region placed under yellow snow and ice vigilance since this Thursday at 4 p.m.
A vigilance that Météo France makes run until the night.
The inhabitants of Vélizy-Villacoublay (Yvelines) in particular saw large snowflakes fall near their homes, the first of the year 2023. So much so that the city has put on a little white coat.
Snow also fell in Versailles, which – as often in the royal city – Internet users did not fail to share on social networks.

Further south, snowflakes were also observed in Jouy-en-Josas and Rambouillet, in the Yvelines, but also in Essonne.
Jouy-en-Josas, Thursday January 19, 2023. The first (large) snowflakes of the year fell on the south of Ile-de-France.
Elsewhere in France, eight departments were placed under orange vigilance this Thursday morning, from Dordogne to Roussillon.
