In April last year, the police fraud unit arrested five suspects in stinging the elderly.
According to the suspicion, the five ran a company that presented itself as an insurance service provider for the repair of electrical appliances, and defrauded dozens of elderly people across the country out of hundreds of thousands of shekels.
The suspects, four residents of Holon and a resident of Ashkelon, convinced the elderly through repeated phone calls to purchase a service for repairing household electrical appliances.
