A British police officer in Northumbria, a region in northern England, has been fired for having sex while on duty, reports the

Telegraph

.

On September 8, 2020, Ian Dawson picked up a mysterious Miss A from his home.

He had driven her to a supermarket parking lot around midnight, where they had sex in the back of his company vehicle.

Gallant, the policeman of His Majesty had then accompanied the beauty home.

Dawson didn't stop there.

He also slept with one of his colleagues, Miss B in October 2021. His superiors gradually discover the affair, all the more serious in their eyes as it took place in full Covid restriction.

But the policeman, faced with his responsibilities, lies shamelessly in front of his superiors twice.

His case finally went to trial on December 20 at Middle Engine Lane, leading to his disbarment from the police force for gross misconduct, with immediate effect.

Northumbria Police Chief Winton Keenen found Ian Dawson "

guilty of all matters stated

".

The latter having admitted "

voluntarily and by his own admission an agreement which led him to engage in sexual activity, during his service and to use a police vehicle in a public place for this purpose

", according to the words of his superior.

For the police chief, the public has an “

understandable public expectation that police officers act at all times in such a way as not to discredit the public service to which they devote their professional lives

”.

"

With that comes the expectation that they will not engage in sexual activity while on duty

," he added.

That has always been the case, but now, perhaps more than ever, there is a recognizable increase in public expectations regarding police behaviors, and particularly regarding behaviors involving sexual activity,

” a- he specified.
