Many times, when we are children, we go fishing with our family in the expectation of being able to catch something.
The young
Campbell Keenan
(12), was on a trip with his mother Colleen, when something incredible happened to him.
The family was staying in
Florida
,
United States
for a hockey tournament in which Campbell's sister was competing.
Colleen only booked the angling excursion on the kid's whim.
When they were in it, fishing in about 120 feet of water with a dead 4lb blackfin tuna as bait, a huge one started pulling on the line.
amazing fishing
Campbell immediately sprang into action and grabbed the rod, which was much larger than he was used to, it
was a shark
.
The boy and his mother were helped by Captain Paul Paolucci, who said he had only caught three great white sharks in all of his 20 years of professional fishing experience off the coast of South Florida.

After Campbell battled the fish in the small boat, Paolucci and his crew measured the beast and tagged it for Nova Southeastern University before returning it to the sea (since great white sharks are a protected species).
Fortunately, plenty of photos of the shark were taken so that Campbell can brag to friends about him back home: "It felt great to land it," the youngster told
The Daily Star.
