A 45-year-old man was shot dead in the Cité Consolat in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille this Thursday evening,

learned from the prosecution, confirming information from

During the attack, perpetrated around 11:50 p.m. by an as yet unidentified shooter, two other men aged 25 and 26 were injured.
According to police sources, they were evacuated to the hospital without their vital prognosis being engaged.
The Marseille prosecutor's office told
Le Figaro
that the assailant had fired "about
fifteen
" Kalashnikov shots in the direction of the victim.
He added that the victims of this attack had "
little or no
" criminal record.
An investigation was opened for "
murder in an organized gang
" and entrusted to the judicial police.
This murder comes less than ten days after a shooting left one injured on January 11 in the city of Aygalades.
In 2022, the Marseille public prosecutor's office identified 32 victims of organized gang homicides in the Bouches-du-Rhône, including 28 in Marseille alone.
The heaviest toll since 2016, with 31 victims counted.
The police prefecture has reported 31 "
deaths by bullets linked to drug trafficking
" in 2022.
