The Safita Cultural Center presented a range of recreational, educational and artistic activities within the program of the midterm holiday activities, which lasted for five days.

The person in charge of the child culture department at the center, Taif Abdul Karim, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that about 200 children, aged between 6 and 13, participated in the activities entitled (My beloved children, the secret of my happiness), indicating that various and purposeful activities were chosen to promote and develop children's tendencies. sensory and perceptual, as well as developing their culture in various artistic, literary and other aspects.

Abdul Karim stated that the program included several workshops, including an interactive reading for children, a drawing workshop entitled (We Draw for a Better Tomorrow), a film screening for children, a symposium entitled (The Best Way to Invest Time), a symposium on traditional professions and games, as well as entertainment and singing activities.

And the children’s librarian at the center, Alaa Issa, stated that some of the talents of the children participating in poetry and storytelling were highlighted, in addition to opening a space for dialogue and discussion, and introducing children to the library’s sections, the number of books in it, their types, and the method of searching for the required book, in addition to encouraging them to read and borrow. Books from the library, and an introductory symposium was held on the importance of time and ways to invest and organize it as one of the ways to reach excellence.

Abeer Ali, an official in the Department of Children's Culture and Heritage, explained that activities have been done to motivate children to take care of old things, to revive and recycle them, and a symposium was held to introduce children to traditional professions, including bread on the tandoor and how it is made, in addition to shedding light on some traditional games.
