Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir and Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich acted today (Friday) to prevent the evacuation of the illegal "Or Haim" outpost, which was ordered by Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
While Smotrich ordered the head of coordination of operations in the territories to stop the evacuation of the outpost that was set up during the night, Ben Gvir condemned the continuation of the evacuation by the MGB forces who arrived on the scene. In response to the condemnations, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu backed Gallant's move, and the Defense Minister himself stated that he backs the IDF: "Every action in the field must be done according to the law, in full coordination, and subject to the assessment of the security situation."

During the evacuation of the outpost by MGB forces, Ben Gvir called for his arrest. "Everyone must respect the rule of law, but an equal and uniform policy must be created," he said in his message, and claimed that the Civil Administration discriminates between Jewish and Palestinian settlers in the territories. The "Or Haim" outpost was established during the night by five families and a nucleus of several young people, including the grandson of Rabbi Haim Druckman, Neve Schindler, one of the initiators of the move.
