Never before had Norway occupied such an important place for Europe.

However, the relations it maintains with neighboring countries are put to the test.

Indeed, Norway has something that Europe desperately needs: natural gas.

As Europe, and Germany in particular, wants to break free from its energy dependence on Russia, it is increasingly dependent on the Scandinavians.

In the meantime, they have robbed Russia of the status of main gas supplier in Europe.

In these times of war, market prices for energy have risen so much that Norwegians are making record profits.

According to figures published by the Ministry of Finance at the end of December, the expected profit for 2022 would amount to 113 billion euros.

For the current year, forecasts even indicate profits of 130 billion euros, five times more than in 2021.
