The SNCF strike at Christmas had aroused indignation and anger among travelers.
In all, 200,000 tickets had been canceled at the last minute.
To calm tensions, the SNCF then offered “
200% compensation
in a voucher for the value of the canceled trip
” for trips planned between December 23 and 26, 2022.

We are still waiting for 200% for a December 22 request.

An "announcement effect"
Some customers have nevertheless received compensation, but this does not cover all of their expenses.
“
You offer me a voucher for 86.50 euros while my trip canceled on December 23 is 173 euros... very far from the 200% promised.
No news since my three “legitimate” reminders by email... what a lack of consideration for your customers!!

" which does not apply "
in practice

The railway company underlines for its part that the "
digitalized voucher is sent [directly to travelers] within a few weeks
".
It can be claimed “
until the end of May 2023
” and will be “
valid for one year from the date of receipt
”.
"
All our teams are mobilized to ensure that each file is processed and each voucher is sent as soon as possible
", adds the SNCF.
