British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was fined this evening (Friday) after driving a car without wearing a seat belt.

The police in the country decided to fine him after he uploaded a video to social networks in which he committed the offense and did not wear a seat belt while sitting in the back seat of his car.

Sunak apologized and called the case "an error of misjudgment", the members of the political parties in the country attack and defend.

Sonak took a video for his Instagram account while driving, not wearing his seat belt.

Yesterday he apologized and claimed that it was a "short error in judgment".

The Prime Minister's spokesperson explained that Sunak removed his seat belt for the photo, but understands that it was a mistake and apologizes for it.

"The prime minister believes that everyone should wear a seat belt," he said.

In the UK, a fine for not wearing a seat belt while driving can be up to £500.

In the video taken by Sunk, police motorcycles can be seen through his window accompanying the car, which raised criticism of the enforcement as well.

The video in question was shot in the county of Lancashire in the north-west of England, during the prime minister's trip to the region.

It is designed to promote the project led by Sunak to promote the country's economy and create jobs.

This is not the first time that the prime minister has been fined.

In April of last year, he received a fine together with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie after they met together to celebrate Johnson's birthday at his residence at 10 Downing Street. For this reason, he violated the Corona restrictions that were imposed in those days on the country's residents.

"Ignoring the rules"

Sunak received criticism from some party members, "showing the same disregard for the rules as Boris Johnson" - that's what the Liberal Democratic Party claimed.

They were referring to the fact that he is the second sitting Prime Minister ever to receive a fine from the police.

"It seems that the prime minister is getting too used to flying in private planes that he forgot to wear a seat belt in the car," claimed a deputy from the same party.

"The fact that he is violating a fundamental law is embarrassing and frankly dangerous," she added.

"Rishi Sunak doesn't know how to manage his seat belt, his credit card, the train service, the economy, this country," said a Labor spokeswoman.

"Unfortunate Rishi Sunak's campaign video blew up in his face and made him a joke."
