Whether fair or not, the attack is now aimed at Norway, accused of enriching itself on the backs of Ukraine and Europe.
Europeans are increasingly eyeing the record profits generated by the sale of the gas and oil that Norway abounds.
At the end of December, the Norwegian Ministry of Finance announced that Oslo would reap 113 billion euros in profits in 2022. The current year should be just as lucrative according to forecasts, which count on 130 billion euros.
That is five times more than in 2021.
Norway operates on a unique system: since the mid-1990s, a large part of the profits derived from hydrocarbons has been paid into a state oil and gas fund which has now reached more than 1300 billion euros, recalls
