Buzz Aldrin
, the second person to set foot on the Moon, announced that he married his longtime girlfriend on Friday the 20th, her 93rd birthday.
Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Anca Faur,
executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures, were married in a private ceremony.
"On my 93rd birthday (...) I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur and I have married," Aldrin tweeted, along with photos of him and Faur, who is reportedly 63. years.
"We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and we are as excited as eloping teenagers," added the astronaut.
The tweet was accompanied by two snapshots of the private ceremony, which showed the bride in a white, stone-embellished gown.
For his part, Aldrin looked dapper in a black suit paired with a bow tie.
Fauer, born in Romania, currently serves as Executive Vice President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures.
He earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
It is not the first time that astronaut Aldrin says "Yes, I accept", recalls The Post.
Aldrin was previously married three times, marrying his first wife, Joan Archer, in 1954. The couple had three children: James, Janice, and Andrew, before the marriage ended in divorce in 1974.
Aldrin later married his second wife, Beverly Van Zile, in 1975, but their union fell apart just three years later.

A decade later, Buzz Aldrin found love with his third wife, Lois Driggs Cannon.
The couple were married for 24 years before divorcing in 2012.
Aldrin rose to fame, literally, after completing three spacewalks during his glittering career as an astronaut.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Faur earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996, and before joining Buzz Aldrin Ventures he worked for Union Carbide and Johnson Matthey.
She was also the treasurer of the California Hydrogen Business Council.
