In the letter that the ombudsman sent to the Prime Minister, she wrote that according to the ruling given by the High Court in the Deri case, he "cannot continue to serve as a minister in the government of Israel. Therefore, and according to your authority established in the Basic Law: the government, you must act in accordance with the ruling and pass the same from his positions in the government."
In the letter, she added that in view of the "legal limitations" that apply to Netanyahu, "another person should be appointed to hold the positions of Minister of Health and Minister of the Interior."
