From throwing the center to win a World Cup against Messi to the spiritual experience of walking half-naked through a frozen forest

It is André Schurrle, who assisted Mario Götze in the final that Germany beat the Argentine National Team at the Maracana. He recorded his experience and shared it on social networks.

The last time so many Argentines paid attention to

André Schürrle

, he was overwhelmed by the left of his attack and

Javier Mascherano

and

Pablo Zabaleta

ran from behind.

It was the final of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and

Mario Götze

's goal was born from its center , with which

Germany

was champion at the

Maracana

.

Schürrle continued his career.

He from

Wolfsburg

to

Borussia Dortmund

and from there to

Fulham

.

His last stop was in Moscow, at

Spartak

.

Two days after the club terminated his contract in the midst of the pandemic, he announced his retirement from football, at just 30 years old.

His days, today, are completely different from those of his time as a footballer.

Last week he showed himself on his Instagram account completing a spiritual challenge with an enormous physical demand.

What did he do?

Along with a group of people, he spent a few days in shorts and naked, interned in a German forest.

Perhaps he anticipated his adventure a month ago, when on his Instagram account he showed himself inside a large bucket, submerged in ice water.

"The feeling when you step out of your comfort zone is incredible. I heard this quote some time ago: THE BEST THINGS AND MOMENTS IN LIFE ARE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF FEAR," the full post read.

Uncertainty among his followers.

Then followed a series of publications that portrayed him in domestic situations and among them a long post that connected with that of the bucket with ice and what was to come.

"After a long run! I have to talk about physical work and sport in general! I love it! The best thing you can do for yourself! A routine where you do something every day! Gym, sports, running, walking, heavy workouts! I'm back and enjoying pushing myself! Gives me great balance in my days with my family! So come on: get up and exercise!"

she posted alongside a black and white selfie.

Nothing strange apparently, however...

Meditating, before taking the snowy path.

The following was a video in which he is seen from behind submerged up to his neck under a small waterfall in a river, which could pass for some pots in Córdoba, if it were not for the grove with native German species.

On his part, no comment, nor an explanation for an unusual act: it's winter there these days.

To the next photo he added a brief comment, or slogan: "Be... at this moment" and he is seen barefoot on a rock and dressed in shorts and a wool cap, in a position of presumable meditation.

Squatting, eyes closed and hands in a position similar to a prayer.

He was about to start a daring experiment.

What followed was a series of photos in which he is seen with a group of people who walk with shoes on, but in shorts in a harsh winter setting: ice and snow are seen and the wind is perceived.

In one of the photos, a guide dressed as anyone walks on Cerro Catedral: completely sheltered from the cold.

The four who faced the experience, together with the well-wrapped guide.

"Day 3 of the 'ice man' experience and to the top with our beautiful team! Hardest mental and physical thing I've ever done! The last few minutes I couldn't feel a thing and had to find something deep inside of me to keep going! An experience I will never forget! -19 degrees, 100 km/h wind in my face, lots of snow and rain! What I learned... My body and I are stronger than I thought if I put my mind and soul, I can do it all," he said.

To everyone's peace of mind, he is later seen comfortably on a bed and dressed.

"The cold exposure was one part of our experience! The other part was heavy breathing sessions! The emotions and feelings that came out of these sessions were incredible! I cried, laughed and relaxed! I forgave people and felt incredible gratitude for my life and the universe", he completed his experience.
