Hama Feed Branch ends the payment of the price of yellow corn received from farmers


Hama, SANA- The branch of the General Establishment for Fodder in Hama finished the process of disbursing the price of the yellow corn crop received from a farmer.


The branch of the General Establishment for Fodder in Hama has finished disbursing the price of the yellow corn crop received from the province's farmers for the current season.

The director of the institution’s branch, Eng. Tammam al-Nizami, explained to SANA’s reporter that 725 tons of farmers had been received through the Salhab, Shaizar, and Hama centers at a price of 1,800 pounds per kilogram, in addition to the disbursement of 200 pounds as a reward, in order to encourage farmers to grow this economically important crop, amid easy procedures and examination. And analysis of maize samples according to the technical specifications specified by the General Organization for Feed.

Al-Nizami indicated that the investment plan for the branch during the current year includes the rehabilitation of the fodder sale center in Kawkab village, which has been out of service since 2013, pointing out that there are ten distribution centers for fodder cannulae spread in all regions of the governorate.

He explained that the branch’s sales during the past year amounted to 101 billion and 174 million Syrian pounds resulting from the sale of 96 thousand and 711 tons of fodder rations for various types of livestock, including bran, groats, capsules, unhulled cotton meal, yellow corn, soybean meal and barley, indicating that the branch’s purchases during the past year From bran and unpublished meal, it amounted to 23 billion pounds, which was distributed during the fodder courses to livestock breeders in the governorate.

It is noteworthy that the branch of the Fodder Institution in Hama recently opened a fodder course for breeders of sheep, goats, cows, horses, fish and camels.
