Dr. Buzz Aldrin, the second man in history to walk on the surface of the moon, married his wife Dr. Anka Faure today (Saturday) on his 93rd birthday and wrote on the social network Twitter that they are "excited like teenagers".
The retired astronaut wrote in an excited tweet that "On my 93rd birthday, in which I was honored by the presence of the legends of aviation, I am proud to announce that I and Dr. Anka Faure were united in marriage in a private and small ceremony in Los Angeles.
We are excited like teenagers who ran away to get married."

Aldrin posted a picture of the two wearing a suit and decorated with medals and symbols of the US space agency and Dr. Faure wearing a wedding dress. Dr. Faure, 63, works as director of the Buzz Aldrin Foundation and is a doctor of chemical engineering.
Aldrin is the last surviving astronaut from the Apollo mission 11, the first mission in which humans landed on the moon in 1969. After Neil Armstrong, he was the second human to set foot on the lunar soil. Aldrin wrote nine books about his experiences as an astronaut and the US space program and gave thousands of lectures to various audiences.
