The Russian Foreign Ministry considered that the European Union Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, criticized the statements of Minister Sergey Lavrov as a form of hypocrisy, amid his racist statements that he makes continuously.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today: “Borrell’s statement regarding Lavrov’s comparison of the policy of the United States and its allies towards Moscow with the actions of Adolf Hitler appears clear hypocrisy, especially against the background of his racist statements that divided the world into a flowering garden in which a billion citizens of the European Union and the United States live.” the United States, and a forest representing the other part of the world where non-Europeans and Americans live.”
The ministry pointed to the European Union's open support for the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv, which is bombing populated cities in Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye, explaining that such actions show once again how individual organizations try to fuel differences between states and peoples.
The ministry called on European peoples to raise their voice to combat hatred of Russia and other manifestations of discriminatory policies against certain nationalities and ethnic groups.
