Frey is being investigated on suspicion of incitement and rebellion, due to a tweet he wrote several months ago in which he praised a terrorist for choosing to kill soldiers and not civilians.
Fry, an ultra-orthodox journalist, is identified with the left and often covers the occupation and what is happening in the territories.
In an interview upon his assumption of office, the designated Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir called Frei a "terrorist supporter".

According to sources on the left, Frei's arrest was "crossing a red line designed to silence freedom of expression."
A few weeks ago it was revealed in Vala!
Branch that Fry was filmed for a film that will soon be broadcast on the Knesset channel - and at the last minute the channel's management gave an order to shelve clips with his participation.
