As-Suwayda - SANA
The Directorate of Agriculture in As-Suwayda rented more than 262,000 drug doses to vaccinate livestock for free against communicable and infectious diseases.
The head of the animal health department in the directorate, veterinarian Kamil Morshed, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the doses that were extracted from the Animal Health Directorate in the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform are distributed as 150,000 doses for sheep and goats, 100,000 doses for poultry, and 12,200 doses for cows.
Murshid pointed out that the reality of livestock in the governorate is good, with no spread of communicable and infectious diseases, but there is a delay in births due to the lack of pastures and fodder, due to the lack of rainfall.
The Directorate of Agriculture in As-Suwayda conducted, free of charge, over the past year, more than 556,000 preventive vaccinations for cows, sheep and goats against communicable and infectious diseases.
