Avian flu: the Essonne lakes placed "under high surveillance" after the death of black-headed gulls

Thirty birds were found dead in Viry-Chatillon, three of which were identified as carriers of the avian influenza virus.


The avian flu epidemic continues to claim victims among birds.

On Friday January 20, the prefecture of Essonne indicated that “the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was identified on January 16 in three black-headed gulls found dead on January 10 in Viry-Chatillon”.
