Mayor Zvika Brot announced: "Street hooligans - not in Bat Yam" - as part of the treatment of the problem of street hooligans in the city, the mayor went on a tour of the city's streets this week together with the municipal police.
The municipality of Bat Yam has published the new guidelines for dealing with the streets - the enforcement of the ban on lying down in a public place, at the same time the municipality will remove the wooden platforms from the Rothschild Center, and in their place will be placed comfortable chairs for sitting, with dividers - which will prevent lying down.
The frequency of washing at the problematic points will be increased, along with increasing enforcement activities against anyone who sells alcohol without a license.

The municipality will offer to every street resident who wants it benefit centers and/or additionally shelters.
Mayor Zvika Brot added: "I will personally continue to carry out field patrols, like the one I went on this week to make sure that this phenomenon is handled properly. And let's not forget - street urchins are human beings."
Says the mayor in a call to the residents: "When you encounter them, do not get angry, do not curse, do not harm in any way. Call the police or contact the municipal hotline and we will know how to sensitively but firmly offer them the possible solutions, and make sure that they will no longer be on the street. It is a process, but at the end we will reduce the problem to the minimum possible and together we will keep the public space clean and healthy."
