Heavy fog that hit the south this morning (Sunday) caused several traffic accidents in a short time.
In five accidents that happened in the morning, three people were seriously injured, three others were moderately injured and at least ten were slightly injured.
At around 5:00 a.m. a dirt truck collided with a shuttle between the Tel Arab junction and the Sousia settlement.
Medical teams that arrived at the scene provided medical treatment to three people who were slightly injured.
About an hour and a half later, a man was seriously injured in an accident near the Nabatim interchange involving a bus and two private vehicles.
A short time later, the MDA team that was on its way to the accident near the Nabatim Interchange identified another accident at the entrance to the settlement of Kashifa, in which a person was slightly injured in a collision between a shuttle vehicle and a private car. Less than an hour later, another accident occurred in the area, involving seven vehicles.

The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided medical treatment to a man whose condition was described as serious, and to four other injured people - three of them in moderate condition, and one in light condition. Later, a 25-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision between a bus and a private car. The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Soroka Hospital.
Five other passengers were slightly injured in the incident.
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw a car accident between a car and a bus. The driver of the car was sitting in his car unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury," recalled MDA medic Omri Abu Jama. "We put him in an intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital in stable condition.
Nine of the bus passengers, boys about 14 years old, were checked on the spot and did not need to be evacuated."
