It is reported that the 55-year-old deceased Yang Nan lived in Tseung Kwan O. He was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in his early years and also had high blood pressure. However, he did not stop working due to illness and continued to work as a night cleaner to earn a living.
Last night (21st) was the 30th night of the New Year, he still went to work, but at 0:00 am on the 22nd, he suddenly revealed to his colleagues that he felt uncomfortable in his chest, but he continued to work and did not go home to rest.
Finally, at 3 o'clock in the morning, the garbage truck was collecting garbage at the side of Wong Tai Sin Fire Station, No. 28 Fung Tak Road. Attempts to come forward to rescue him failed, and finally Yang Toudi was injured and bled, and immediately fell into a coma. After being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, he was pronounced dead at 4:31 in the morning.
The Labor Department stated that it is currently investigating a fatal work accident in Wong Tai Sin. In the accident, a male worker was found fainted on the ground behind the tailgate truck.
