The Kuwait Ports Authority announced today the temporary halt of maritime traffic in three ports, which are Shuwaikh, Shuaiba and Doha, due to fluctuating weather conditions.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the Corporation as saying in a statement: It has stopped navigation in the aforementioned ports since eight o'clock this morning, due to the low level of horizontal visibility, and out of concern for the safety of maritime navigation, crews and its port facilities.
The thick fog covered most areas of the country yesterday, according to KUNA, and expected it to continue until today. The competent authorities called on citizens to exercise caution for fear of accidents, due to the significant lack of visibility on the roads.
