It is formulated by certain deputies of the MoDem, an allied party of Emmanuel Macron, chaired by François Bayrou.
As part of the debates on the pension reform, which provides in particular for the decline of the legal age to 64, these parliamentarians wish to table an amendment so that the working time of employees increases from 35 to 35.5 hours per week.
The measure, they calculate, would bring in “
at least
” two billion euros.
This would make it possible in particular to “
lower the discount for small pensions and chopped careers
”, according to the boss of the MoDem group in the National Assembly, Jean-Paul Mattei.
A means, according to him, of “
finding financial balances
”.

If there is an extra half hour of work per week, that generates social security contributions.
And this makes it possible to financially consolidate this system of pensions by distribution
