So that no one is distracted

The short film Sorry reflects on individualism and solidarity as the other side. He walks unhurriedly through the mall checking his cell phone, with a nonchalant air, headphones on his ears. She suddenly looks up and sees that the elevator, full, is about to close its door. She wakes up, almost runs, and at the last second manages to make a place for herself among the motley group of passengers. Everyone is waiting for it to finally get going.

But the apparatus does not move.

Plunged back into his phone, he impatiently checks the situation and angrily shakes his head from side to side in disagreement.

There is, however, a reason to justify such immobility: a luminous sign warns "Overload".

The elevator does not start because the weight with which it can work has been exceeded.

Clearly, someone is superfluous.

A feeling of discomfort begins to invade the occasional fellow travelers.

Furtive and somewhat nervous glances, hidden crosses between people who see with growing concern that they are neither getting on nor getting off, that they are still parked in the same place and that, whoever should make a decision does not seem to be aware of it.

Several eyes stare at him, who doesn't take the hint, concentrating on the screen of his phone, although from time to time he looks away and looks at them out of the corner of his eye.

Aware of the situation, he nevertheless remains immune to subtle pressure and growing discomfort.

Disgruntled, the passengers clear their throats, snort, look at their watches.

Suddenly, from the back, a young girl begins to make her way, not without difficulty, among the forcibly immobilized men and women.

When she finally manages to get out of it, she notices a detail: she has crutches.

Without saying a word, he sees how the door closes behind him and the elevator starts up.

She smiles, her eyes on that teenager who decided not to do what he had to.

The video, of 1 minute and 58 seconds, went viral on the networks under the title "Sorry".

Although he is credited with an Oscar that he did not win, he more than fulfills his mission.

This time there is no way to play distracted.
