Aleppo-SANA
Today, Aleppo journalists carried out a stand in solidarity to demand the release of colleague Muhammad al-Saghir, correspondent of the Syrian al-Ikhbariya channel in al-Hasakah governorate, who has been kidnapped by the (Qasd) militia associated with the American occupation since 2019, and who suffers from poor health conditions.
A member of the executive office of the Union of Journalists, Abdul Karim Haj Obaid, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the young colleague should be released quickly, and said: “The colleague Muhammad was performing his duty to convey the truth to global public opinion, which hurt the American occupier and his tools of the (Qasd) militia that tried to silence his voice by imprisoning them and obscuring the truth.”
During the vigil, the media colleagues denounced the attacks and practices of the (Qasd) militia against journalists who are performing their duty in light of the silence of international humanitarian and media organizations, recalling the critical health condition of the young colleague as a result of his kidnapping by the militia and the need to release him quickly.
The media participants in the vigil appealed to the Arab clans located east of Aleppo to take an honorable stand by saving the country from the practices of the (Qasd) militia and its theft with the American occupier of the country's wealth, especially oil and wheat, and its burning of agricultural crops, in addition to its terrorization of citizens on the other hand.
In June 2019, the QSD militia kidnapped colleague Muhammad al-Saghir while he was doing his work.
