The 47-year-old resident of the North was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of raping a woman he met a week ago at a sex club in Tel Aviv.

The suspect denies the suspicions against him and claims that the sex was consensual, the court extended his detention by three days last night.

The police received a complaint from a woman who claimed that she knew a man and he raped her.

Following the complaint, the suspect was arrested, who claimed in his investigation that he met her at a sex club in Tel Aviv a week ago.

After getting to know each other, she came to his house in the north and had sex with other people.

The police conducted a confrontation between the two, in which the woman stood by her version that he raped her and the suspect continued to deny the rape.

On Saturday night, the suspect was brought to an extension of detention at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, where police representative Major General Guy Calderon said that there is a difference between the two versions and all the suspect's claims will be examined. "As soon as she says no, then no, and the complainant is not raped, including the suspect He has a suspended sentence," said Sergeant Calderon.

The suspect's lawyer denied the suspicions that were attributed to the client and claimed that it was a relationship between two able-bodied adults, on sexual grounds only, when during the entire last week, they were involved in many incidents of having relations between the two of them and between others.

The complainant went to see him to the north and the argument between the two began with her trying to accompany him to continue the relationship and he refused.

Judge Irit Mani-Gor, who extended the suspect's detention, stated in her decision that a review of the investigation file shows the existence of reasonable suspicion against the suspect for committing the crimes attributed to him.

The judge also added that there are several investigative actions that require the arrest of the suspect.

According to her, in light of the circumstances of the commission of the crime, the suspect poses a danger that cannot be mitigated by the alternative of arrest at this stage.
