The head of the local civil society, Roger Wangev, announced that at least 23 civilians were killed in an armed attack targeting a village in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
AP quoted the deputy of the region, Ashar Saidi Balikuesha, as saying: The attack killed 23 people, including six women from the village, noting that the attack was carried out by a faction of the Allied Democratic Forces, which is one of the branches of the “ISIS” terrorist organization in Central Africa.
It is noteworthy that the last attack carried out by this faction dates back to January 15, when it targeted a church, killing 14 people and wounding 20.
