Today, an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale shook the city of Tupelo on Halmahera Island, eastern Indonesia.
The US Geological Survey stated that the tremor occurred 162 km northwest of Tupelo, at a depth of 12 km below the surface of the earth, without talking about human injuries, material damage, or warnings of a tsunami.
A 5-magnitude earthquake hit the Molucca Sea off Indonesia several days ago, without any injuries as well.
