The main suspicion that arose is that they ate spoiled food or that hygiene was not maintained while eating. The parents of the soldiers are outraged: "Why do they only see a medic and not a doctor?", and demand to "close the kitchen and upgrade the food." The IDF responded: "The soldiers received medical attention and the source of the phenomenon is being examined and investigated"

75 soldiers from two different companies at the Nahal Brigade's training base last weekend and today (Sunday) reported fever, diarrhea, vomiting and dizziness and asked to see a doctor. The main suspicion that arose is that the soldiers ate spoiled food or that hygiene was not maintained while eating. The

parents of the soldiers , criticized the medical care given to their children, claiming that most of the soldiers are examined only by a medic, who checks temperature and blood pressure and leaves them at the base. "My son still reports stomach pains, diarrhea, he has dizziness, hot flashes and the urge to vomit all the time.

Why do they only see a medic and not a doctor?

Leaving them in the rooms until the nausea and diarrhea go away makes no sense," said the father of one of the soldiers. The parents also referred to the hygiene of the base and its condition and said, "It's time to close the kitchen and upgrade the food to the same level as in the city of the Behadim."

In response, the IDF spokesman said, "During the last weekend, about 75 soldiers at the Nahal military base were treated following a complaint of stomach aches.

Soldiers are given medical treatment according to their health condition.

The source of the phenomenon is being examined and investigated by the commanders and professionals. The soldiers who are defined as suffering from abdominal pain are sick to varying degrees and have been sent to rest in their rooms."

A military official said, "It is not yet possible to determine whether the stomach pains were caused by a virus or food poisoning. At the same time, food samples were taken and sent to a food laboratory, cleaning and hygiene procedures were refined for all soldiers and commanders, and data was collected in order to conduct an epidemiological investigation to reduce the spread of the phenomenon."
