Artist Bashar Suleiman... a unique artistic experience in portraiture

The experience of the plastic artist, Bashar Suleiman, was distinguished in the art of portraiture, which he loved and preferred over many artistic genres.

And about his artistic beginnings, Suleiman indicated in his speech to SANA that his upbringing in an artistic medium helped him refine his talent to enrich his artistic balance with dozens of distinguished works, pointing out that at the beginning of his career he relied on realistic pictorial drawing, which is concerned with showing the artistic subject in the smallest details and in the best possible image in terms of shadow. Lighting, proportions, etc., in addition to his interest in Arabic calligraphy.

And Suleiman indicated that he tends to the art of portraiture, through which he tries to show human impressions and emotions in drawing faces, to give his paintings expressions and emotions that he embodies in a precise and beautiful way, pointing out that it is a very difficult technique that requires a lot of skill, as drawing such a painting takes about 40 hours of work.

He pointed out that he used pencil and charcoal in his beginnings, and then moved to oil and acrylic colors, but the ballpoint pen was the basis for drawing many of his paintings, whose themes varied between nature, symbolic drawings, and others.

Suleiman pointed out that he has recently tended to refine and develop young talents, relying on his academic study of education in developing a methodology for teaching drawing, and helping talents overcome mistakes. He also participated, in cooperation with the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, in a course to teach drawing for talents from university students, hoping that There is a great demand for the arts, especially painting.

The artist Bashar Suleiman participated in several art exhibitions inside and outside Syria, where his first participation was as a calligrapher in an international festival entitled (International Wood Day), in addition to his participation in the Ehden International Forum for Painting and Sculpture in Lebanon, to enrich his credit with many paintings that varied between drawing faces, nature and symbolic drawings. .
