The Israel Police today (Monday) publishes an arrest record of a defendant who attacked and threatened policemen in Mahane Yehuda market.
On January 11th, around 12:00 in the Mahane Yehuda market, police cruisers noticed a man behaving in a manner that aroused suspicion during routine security operations in the Jerusalem city center area, and therefore one of them asked that suspicious man to identify himself to her.
The accused refused, the defendant cursed her and threatened her.
Later, after the female security guard asked him again to identify himself, the respondent began to go berserk and threw an energy drink can in her direction, which hit her near her leg and continued to threaten her.
Even when additional police officers arrived who tried to identify the respondent, he continued to refuse to identify himself even to them, ran amok, pushed them and threatened them and was finally arrested by YSM police officers in the Jerusalem District. the policemen because he would hurt them and continued to rage.
His detention was extended in court and after the investigation was completed, the Jerusalem Police Prosecution Unit filed the indictment against him.
The police stated that "they will take a hard hand against those involved in violent incidents in general and against those who attack police officers and public servants in particular, they will exhaust the investigation of these suspects with the aim of bringing them to justice."
