Against the background of the High Court's decision to disqualify Deri's appointment as a minister: the
Shas faction led by the movement's chairman, MK Aryeh Deri, will hold a special faction meeting today (Monday) in the Negev hall of the Knesset at 2:30 p.m., with the participation of movement representatives from all over Haaretz and key activists.
Last Wednesday, the judges of the High Court of Justice accepted the petitions against the appointment of Aryeh Deri to the position of minister in the government and disqualified him by a majority of ten to one. As a result, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was forced to fire Deri at the cabinet meeting yesterday. The High Court's decision states that the appointment "is flawed extreme probability".
Another topic that is expected to be on the agenda at the faction meetings is the storm surrounding the reports of the desire to cancel the "Israeli Sabbath" project.
Last week, instructions were given to the cultural administrations in various localities throughout the country to no longer hold the "Weekend of Israeli Culture" project events that take place on Shabbat.
These are cultural events that take place mainly in the periphery, which made cultural shows accessible to children, teenagers and adults.
Will the cultural activities on Shabbat be affected?

Following the many condemnations that the decision received, Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke this morning with Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar and made it clear to him that all the activities held on Shabbat by the various entities budgeted by the ministry will continue as usual.
