Saturday in Salagnac, a village of less than 800 inhabitants located in the Dordogne, an 86-year-old man was arrested at 8:40 a.m. after the discovery at his home of the lifeless body of his son.
The 59-year-old victim was shot in the head.
She was dead when the emergency services arrived, who could only confirm her death.
The suspect, who said he shot the deceased with his hunting rifle while in police custody, however denies the intentional nature of this gesture.
