Former Minister of Tourism MK Yoel Razvozov announced his intention to resign from the Knesset - Walla! News

The member of the Knesset wrote that he decided to take a break from public life, after 15 years during which he served as a member of the Netanya City Council, a member of the Knesset, the chairman of the Absorption and Immigration Committee and the Minister of Tourism. In his place, Shelly Miron, director of Yesh Atid's central region, will enter the Knesset. Lapid thanked Razvozov: "You will always remain part of the family"

Former Minister of Tourism MK Yoel Razvozov announced today (Monday) his intention to resign from the Knesset next week, and parted ways with the Yesh Atid party: "A real ruling party that should lead Israel."



Razvozov wrote, "After 15 years as a public envoy, during which I served as Minister of Tourism in the government Israel, as a member of the Knesset and chairman of the Absorption and Aliyah Committee, and before that as a member of the Netanya City Council, I decided to take a break from public life, and at the end of the month I will resign from the Knesset."

He mentioned his Yesh Atid party and wrote that it "was and will remain a home and family for me."



The former minister thanked his wife and daughters "for always having my back", and his parents "for giving me the education and values".

He also mentioned opposition leader Yair Lapid and thanked him "for giving me the opportunity, support, guidance, good advice, friendship and the way to work for the benefit of the State of Israel and the benefit of the citizens of Israel." He concluded, "My friends from the Yesh Atid movement, the field activists of The party and the wonderful people who make up this party will continue to lead the country for the benefit of the citizens of Israel."

Lapid said goodbye to Rezabozov, wished him success and wrote to him on Twitter, "I love you, thank you for the shared path. You will always remain part of the Yesh Atid family."



Razvozov was born in Soviet Russia and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1991.

He was Israel's judo champion and represented Israel at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

In 2008 he served as a member of the Netanya City Council.

In 2012, he was placed eighth on the Yesh Atid list for the Knesset;

In 2015 he was a member of the Aliyah and Absorption Committee in the Knesset.

In the Bennet-Lapid government, Razvozov was appointed Minister of Tourism.



In Razbozov's place, Sheli Miron, manager of Yesh Atid's central region, will enter the Knesset.

Miron, 43 years old, married and mother of two daughters, graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication and political science at Tel Aviv University.

She is engaged in business development in Southeast Asia and serves as a reserve captain in the Air Force Barracks.
