Former Toulouse jihadist Jonathan Geffroy sentenced to 18 years in prison

After an arrest in Turkey in 2017, the accused was sentenced on Monday January 23 for association with terrorist criminals.


Former Islamic State (IS) fighter Jonathan Geffroy, present in the Iraqi-Syrian zone from February 2015 to February 2017, was sentenced on Monday to 18 years' imprisonment by the special assize court in Paris for association of terrorist criminals (AMT).

The court followed the requisitions of the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) to the letter.

The sentence is accompanied by a two-thirds security period.
