Since January 1, people producing more than 5 tons of waste per year must compost their organic waste.
The imminent resumption of the collection by bicycle of these food scraps should delight the restaurateurs of the city center of Nantes, who are particularly concerned.
"To give you an idea, five tons per year is equivalent to one hundred covers per day
," explains

Between three and four rehired employees

teams, and local recovery in compost to enrich local gardens
, "said Coline in a press release. Billon, the founder of La Tricyclerie.
“We know the activity and the people. The Alchemists [present in 11 towns] already carry out collection by bicycle in other cities in France”
, explains Thomas Gaschignard.
The manager announces that the collection by bicycle could resume at the end of January.
In addition, three or four employees of La Tricyclerie, out of the ten, should join the eight employees of Alchimistes, who plan to double their workforce by the end of the year.
“
The challenge for us is to get as many customers as possible.
A large part wants to come back
”, continues the entrepreneur, while emphasizing that the rise in energy prices and inflation do not allow everyone to come back: “
We call for responsibility.
If the obligation is in force, for some, "
