Represented by a collective and a law firm, these people have been trapped by promises of lucrative investments in NFTs and trading. The scheme of the scam points to a famous duo of influencers domiciled in Dubai.

A mirror with a lark that has trapped dozens of victims, attracted by promises of lucrative investments in NFTs and trading: 88 people announced on Monday January 23 the forthcoming filing of two joint complaints to the Paris prosecutor's office for "

fraud in organized gang

” and “

breach of trust

” announced the collective Aid to Victims of Influencers (AVI), which represents the alleged victims with the law firm Ziegler & Associates.

The economic damage linked to these two online scams could amount to several million euros.

These alleged scams are linked to an NFT exchange project (non-fungible tokens certifying to their holder the ownership of a digital asset) called “

Animoon

”.

This trading platform, whose universe is modeled on that of the Pokémon card game, brought together nearly 5,000 investors who raised funds estimated at $6.3 million in just a few months.

Among them are several French people cheated by the fine words of an influencer who has made a career in reality TV and lives in Dubai, Marc Blata.

Supported by his statements, the creators of this platform guaranteed, among other things, to the victims numerous financial and material benefits in exchange for an investment in these tokens.

In the end, the latter never saw the color of their money, disappearing at the same time as the creators of the NFTs.

Two complaints soon filed

Marc Blata and his wife Nadé Blata are also involved in a trading scam case.

Via a Telegram channel called "

Blatagang

", the pair encouraged their subscribers to engage in "

copy trading

" via investment platforms, which offered to imitate the purchases of professional traders in the hope of getting rich easily.

As part of this case, the couple is directly targeted by a complaint for “

organized gang fraud

” and “

breach of trust

”.

In a press release, the AVI collective revealed that a complaint against X targeting the Alimoon platform was also going to be filed for the same leader.

The law firm Ziegler & Associés, specialist in computer and digital law, should also provide investigations "

enriched by many names and documents

" against the "

protagonists

" associated with these alleged scams.

This initiative is a "

first

" of its kind according to the AVI collective, which intends to put the "

influencers

" of reality TV "

face the legal consequences of their actions

".
