Someone fell into the sea in Tsuen Wan.
Tonight (23rd) at 7:36, the police received a report that there was an old man floating in the sea at the Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier.
As seen at the scene, rescuers were looking for the missing old man with flashlights on the water surface. Firefighting diving boats also came to the scene to provide support, and some frogmen went into the water to search.
Clothes and shoes were found on a bench at the scene, suspected to belong to the old man.
At about 9:00 p.m., rescuers found the old man and brought him back to shore. He was sent to Yan Chai Hospital in a coma by ambulance, and died before 9:30 p.m.
The deceased was 92 years old and his surname was Xu. The police initially investigated and believed that he committed suicide.
According to eyewitnesses, when the incident happened, he was chatting with his friends at the site, and found an old man with no clothes and a mask swimming 15 meters from the shore, swimming towards the opposite shore. Minutes later it sank, nowhere to be found.
During the process, the old man did not call for help, but witnesses saw that the old man had disappeared and were worried about accidents. "He was wearing a mask, so he was probably not playing, so he called the police."
