The Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF) filed a complaint and the Paris City Hall had the hate messages cleaned up.

It is a Star of David on the lowered curtain of a cheese factory and on that of a bicycle salesman, "I am racist" written on an electrical cabinet... The Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF) denounced, this Monday, the realization of several anti-Semitic tags in the night on the facade of several shops in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

"The whole neighborhood is covered with Stars of David, the word

Jude

or the expression

I am racist

tagged in large white letters", denounced the UEJF on Twitter.

"The historic Jewish presence in the neighborhood as well as the proximity of many synagogues and Jewish institutions make these tags a real security issue," continues the organization.

We denounce the many anti-Semitic tags found this morning on the facades of stores in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

"It happens to see anti-Semitic tags like this, and we usually don't tweet, but it's very rare to see it on such a scale," explains Parisian Samuel Lejoyeux, president of the UEJF.

He himself counted "at least ten" in rue des Martyrs and in the neighborhood, without "particular logic".

This is nothing trivial for him when the district is "the historic Jewish quarter" of the capital and that "the ceremony of liberation of the concentration camps" must take place on Friday.

A complaint has been filed with the authorities.

“We brought in the cleanliness services to remove them this morning,” noted Jean-Baptiste Gardes, deputy of the borough, in charge of cleanliness, on Twitter.

“These anti-Semitic tags are an absolute shame”, reacted for his part the socialist assistant to the town hall of Paris Lamia El Aaraje.

The Renaissance deputy for Paris Sylvain Maillard said he was "deeply shocked".
