The majority union bloc in the police has decided to boycott the vows ceremony Tuesday, January 24 of the prefect of police of Paris, Laurent Nunez, because of the presence among the guests

"of non-representative organizations having taken for some extravagant positions"

, AFP learned on Monday evening.

In a letter addressed to the prefect of police of Paris, of which AFP was aware, the trade union bloc, bringing together 13 organizations led by Alliance and Unsa, explains its decision by the "presence of several non-representative organizations which, for some, have recently taken extravagant positions as well as completely ubiquitous media postures against the police headquarters, the administration and the minister”.

Among the guests is notably France Police, a minority union reputed to be close to the extreme right.

“We will come for a walk”

“As you know, the professional elections have just taken place and have registered the trade unions which will participate in formal or informal social dialogue in the joint and consultation bodies”

, continues the trade union bloc in its letter.

“As such, we hope for a minimum of consideration and recognition which some cannot claim”

, conclude the signatories.

Representatives of the SGP Police-FO Unit, the other powerful trade union organization in the police, will however be present.

“We will come for a walk”

, told AFP its secretary general Grégory Joron, stressing that he would come for the prefect,

“not to see the guests”

.
