The quantities of granulated cotton ginned by the Al-Asi gin in Hama, since the beginning of the ginning operations, amounted to 2,800 tons, out of the total amount received from the farmers of the eastern governorates for the current season, amounting to 6,474 tons.
The director of the gin, Engineer Yasser Halabiya, told SANA reporter that the ginning operations resulted in 960 tons of ginned cotton, in addition to 1,500 tons of industrial seeds, and the rest is dust and secondary waste, indicating that the ginning operations are going well, through a morning shift with a ginning capacity of about 60 tons. Tons per day, with the possibility of operating an additional shift if needed.
Halabiya pointed out that the ginnery shipped 380 tons of industrial seeds resulting from the beloved cotton ginning operations to the Homs Sugar Company, and 318 tons of ginned cotton bales were shipped to the spinning and weaving companies in Hama and Homs.
During the last season, the Al-Assi gin received 3,200 tons of beloved cotton from the farmers of Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, and it was completely ginned.
