About two months after it was launched in the world, Volkswagen begins to market in Israel the new generation of Amarok with the strongest V6 engine in the group, impressive safety specifications and a price tag starting at NIS 360,000

Volkswagen's commercial division is currently starting to market in Israel the second generation of the Volkswagen Amarok, which was launched in South Africa about two months ago.

The new generation of the Volkswagen Amarok is the fruit of the cooperation between Volkswagen and Ford in the field of commercial vehicles, and in fact it is a twin of the new Ford Ranger produced next to it on the same production line.

The new Amarok comes to Israel in a double cab configuration and with a double drive system as standard, while for the sake of off-road capability it is also equipped with an off-road driving mode selector, power transmission and rear differential lock.

The new generation has a longer wheelbase by 17 cm (327 cm) and an overall length of 536 cm, which makes it the largest in the B license class van category.

The loading capacity has grown up to 1,125 kg and the towing capacity with brakes reaches up to 3.5 tons.

The new Amarok continues to offer a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine in an unusual V6 configuration in the category, but it is a different engine than the previous generation, which also comes from Ford, as well as its new 10-speed automatic transmission.

The engine delivers 240 hp and 61.2 kgm, which makes it the most powerful pickup except for the American monsters.

The safety specification is impressive for pick-ups of the Amarok type, but also for quite a few premium cars as it includes as standard 9 airbags, autonomous braking even in reverse, active lane departure correction, blind spot traffic warning, adaptive LED lighting in the front and adaptive cruise control.

The Volkswagen Amarok comes to Israel in two trim levels, while the entry level known as Style is already generously equipped with a 12 inch digital dashboard, a 12 inch vertical central multimedia screen, split climate control, smart key, heating for the front seats, original belly shields, side steps, tow hook Original removable and 18 inch rims.

The price tag is not cheap and stands at NIS 360,000, several tens of thousands of NIS more than the equipped versions of the Toyota Hilux.

In addition, a higher level of finish called "Aventura" is also offered, which adds an audio system with 10 Harman Kardon speakers, leather upholstery and 20 inch rims for an additional NIS 40,000.
