On video: an attack in Shuafat in which Sergeant Noa Lazar was killed on October 9, 2022 (Shlomi Gabai)
A sheikh who is suspected of inciting and identifying with a terrorist organization flew to Morocco without hindrance and attended a state-sponsored conference today (Monday).
About two weeks ago, Sheikh Ekrama Sabri was arrested after visiting the family of the terrorist Udai Tamimi who murdered Sergeant Noa Lazar.
During the visit, he called on the young people to join "the family of the martyrs" and said that it is a "sublime and divine status that must be aspired to".
While the prosecutor's office is still examining the findings and suspicions against him, Tess Sabri flew to participate in a conference to mark the 25th anniversary of the "Al Quds" foundation, which promotes the purchase of land in East Jerusalem.
Despite the serious suspicions against him, the law enforcement authorities have not issued an order prohibiting him from leaving the country and it is not clear whether an indictment will be filed against him or alternatively the case will be closed.
In the past, several warrants had already been issued to him - but the last one expired at the end of last July, and no one bothered to renew it.

Several scandals surrounding Akhrama Sabri over the years earned him the name "the inciting mufti", due to his long ties with Hezbollah, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
The most notable event in which he participated was a rally on the occasion of the "Iranian Al-Quds Day", where he stood out among the speakers at the conference in support of Iran.
