The prosecutor's office informed the deputy mayor of Rosh Lezion, Maxim Babitzky, today (Monday) that it is considering prosecuting him, subject to a hearing, on the suspicion that he smuggled a tourist from Ukraine to Israel in violation of the law.
After the hearing, it will be decided whether to file an indictment against him for offenses related to chastity.
According to the suspicion, Babitzky forged a document from the Rishon LeZion municipality, which is an invitation to participate in a forum related to the field of security, and instructed her what to say to the Population and Immigration Authority officials at the airport so that she could enter the country.
An indictment is subject to a hearing.

After she was refused entry, Babicki, who came to pick her up from the airport, introduced himself, demanded that she be admitted and claimed that she was a guest of the municipality.
He also offered to pay a bond for her entry and claimed that preventing her from entering the country is illegal.
The investigation revealed that the deputy mayor booked a room for her in a hotel belonging to his friend, for a month.
Later, after being summoned for questioning, Babitzky deleted the correspondence between himself and the Ukrainian citizen, according to the suspicion.
